WE HAVE 6 DIVISIONS TO CHOOSE FROM FOR AGES 4-15:

SLL Spring 2026

Teeball (Rookie) – Suggested Ages 4–5-6 (6 yo with no experience)
Teeball serves as the foundational level of Little League, designed for children ages 3 to 5. At this introductory stage, players begin to learn the basic rules of baseball in a fun and supportive environment. The focus is on developing motor skills, coordination, and teamwork, with all players hitting from a stationary tee to build confidence and consistency at the plate.

Coach Pitch (A) – Suggested Ages 6–7 (New Division for 2026)
The Coach Pitch division, also known as "A", is designed for children ages 6 to 7 and serves as a bridge between Teeball and more advanced levels of play. At this stage, players begin hitting coach-pitched balls instead of using a tee, helping them develop timing, bat control, and an understanding of basic defensive positioning. The focus remains on skill development, encouragement, and fun, with an emphasis on learning the fundamentals of the game in a low-pressure environment.

Machine Pitch (AA) – Suggested Ages 8
(League-age 7s may play up; less experienced 9s may play down)
Also referred to as "Machine Rescue," the AA division introduces players to a more structured game environment while still focusing on development. A pitching machine is used to deliver consistent strikes, allowing players to improve swing mechanics, timing, and confidence at the plate. Fielding and base-running skills are further developed, and players begin preparing for the transition to kid-pitch.

Player Pitch (AAA) – Ages 9–10
(Less experienced 11s may play down)
The AAA division is the first level where players pitch to one another, introducing the full dynamics of the game. Players gain hands-on experience with pitching mechanics, strike zones, and pitch counts. The level is more competitive and emphasizes defensive strategy, situational awareness, and individual responsibility. AAA prepares players for full regulation baseball while still fostering growth and confidence.

Majors – Ages 11–12
Majors is a traditional and competitive division for players ages 11 to 12. At this level, players apply years of developmental skills in a more structured and strategic setting. Pitching, hitting, and base-running are fully player-led, and games more closely resemble standard baseball with umpires, pitch counts, and postseason opportunities such as the Little League World Series.

Juniors – Ages 13–14
The Juniors division is for players ages 13 to 14 and takes place on a full-size baseball field with 60’6” pitching distance and 90’ base paths. Players at this level experience the full spectrum of baseball rules and strategies, mirroring high school play. Juniors focuses on refining advanced skills, building strength and endurance, and preparing athletes for upper-level competitive baseball.

Scottsdale Little League plays at fields at Scottsdale Ranch Park, Copper Ridge Elementary School and Aztec Park.
We also have inter-league play with other District Six leagues, playing at fields throughout Scottsdale and Fountain Hills.

Parents are strongly encouraged to become involved in all levels of Little League. After completing a Little League volunteer application and passing a required national background check, parents may become involved in practices, and be eligible as coaches, managers, umpires, local league board members and other volunteer positions within the league.
All parents must volunteer for at least one shift at the Concession Stand during a game.
